FSE 2.0 and the Pharmaceutical Dossier
2026 marks the rollout of FSE 2.0 (Fascicolo Sanitario Elettronico). The Italian PMS is now an active contributor to the patient's Pharmaceutical Dossier (Dossier Farmaceutico).
Every time a pharmacist dispenses a drug, the management system updates the patient's digital record. This allows the system to perform "Cross-Interaction Checks" against all other medications the patient is taking, even those prescribed by different specialists. This real-time synchronization helps prevent adverse drug reactions and is a cornerstone of patient safety in the 2026 Italian healthcare model.
